Missy Raines & The New Hip Sign with Lost Buffalo Artists

We are so very excited to announce that we have signed with Lost Buffalo Artists!  Founded by Mollie Farr, Lost Buffalo Artists is an independent booking and management company working with some of the most compelling and passionate musicians in Americana and Roots music today.

Says Mollie, ”I couldn’t be more thrilled to have Missy Raines & the New Hip come on board with the Lost Buffalo team. Adding the group to the roster is an honor, and I can’t think of another group of musicians who so naturally fits the Lost Buffalo model and ethos.”    Contact Mollie Farr at (941) 356-3118  or   Email Mollie

mollie-2Mollie Farr runs Lost Buffalo Artists from her home in Nashville, TN. Born and raised in SW Florida, Mollie grew up in the tropical south feeling a bit like a “lost buffalo” herself (imagine a buffalo that somehow made its way to Florida!), spending most of her childhood and adolescence traveling around to music festivals with her father.  Over the years a profound admiration and understanding of American roots music became engrained in her and it was here in this musical community that she truly found her path. Mollie received a degree in
ethnomusicology, writing her thesis on the origins of the accordion in Cajun music.  It is this deep ethnomusicological understanding that gives her a unique perspective when it comes to booking and management as she looks at each artist and their path amidst a long line of tradition as it grows and shifts into the present moment.

Mollie worked as a booking assistant for Myriad Artists before she started Lost Buffalo Artists as a response to fellow musicians and friends seeking help from a new sort of agent—one that truly understood their lives and music amidst the atmosphere of the music business today, and one that would go to bat for them with a relentless enthusiasm. Mollie approaches her work as an avid music lover, fellow musician, ethnomusicologist, and deeply invested member of the musical community surrounding us today.Contact Mollie
